We are excited for our upcoming annual event -- the Avalon Gardens' Easter Celebration & Egg Hunt!
This event will be hosted at Avalon Gardens in Tumacácori, Arizona on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 beginning at 9:30am. For more information, read below, and make sure to visit the official event page here!
Bring your family and friends to Avalon Gardens’ annual Easter extravaganza! The fun kicks off at 9:30am with pony rides! Pony rides are $5.00 per ride (or 2 for $8.00) and will be happening from 9:30-11:00am and then again around 1:45pm.
At 11:00am take a hayride out to an awesome Easter Egg Hunt. There will be hunts for different age categories so everyone is sure to come home with big smiles and bountiful baskets.
After the hunt, at 12:30pm, enjoy an organic bounty of healthy, delicious refreshments along with live entertainment reflecting the true spirit of Easter. TaliasVan’s 45-voice Bright & Morning Star Choir & Orchestra will perform two original Easter songs and students from Global Community Communications Schools for Teens and Children will share their hearts through song, poetry, and dance.
A tour of Avalon Organic Gardens & EcoVillage will be offered at 1:45pm for those interested in learning about North America’s largest EcoVillage. Avalon Gardens is located on 220 acres of rich farmland just across the Santa Cruz River from the Tumacácori Mission established by Father Eusebio Francisco Kino in 1691. Father Kino cultivated these lands to provide for its indigenous community. Avalon Gardens continues to honor this tradition by fostering progressive realms of sustainability such as permaculture, water harvesting, green/eco building, composting, seed saving, heritage grain cultivation, wind and solar power, Arizona’s largest food forest system, aquaponics, and more.
Avalon Organic Gardens & EcoVillage has hosted these wonderful Easter celebrations for more than 18 years, offering wholesome, family fun in the beautiful surroundings of mother nature. This working organic farm and ecovillage has horses, cows, goats, chickens, emus, llamas, and other fun critters for the kids to see. Gates open at 9:00am.
